Matching motor power alone is insufficient when ordering a replacement. Electrical ratings, mechanical interfaces and the existing control system need to be considered together. Explain whether you need a complete drive or an individual spare part.

Motors and gearmotors

Nameplate, serial number, power, speed and mounting help identify the installed configuration.

Gearboxes and mechanical interfaces

Ratio, output shaft, flange and mounting position provide essential interface information.

Variable-frequency drives and accessories

Include the complete type code, supply, output current and installed option cards in the enquiry.

Information to include in your enquiry

  • Readable nameplates from motor and gearbox, or drive inverter
  • Voltage, frequency, power and speed; gearbox ratio where applicable
  • Flange and shaft dimensions, brake, encoder and special configuration
  • Existing parameter information, quantity, required date and destination

From requirement to enquiry

  1. Collect part references and operating conditions. Clearly identify any unknown information.
  2. State quantities, documents and delivery priorities; email photographs or item lists.
  3. Agree the quotation, technical approval and delivery terms before placing an order.

Can the motor alone be replaced?

This depends on its gearbox connection, shaft, flange and required configuration. Send photographs of the complete drive and both nameplates; a kW rating alone does not identify the replacement.
