Provide furnace and assembly identification, drawing and revision. For stirrers record rotor count, centre distances, screw or paddle geometry, immersion depth and direction of rotation. Document gearbox ratio, motor supply, lifting motion and cooling or lubrication air connections. For recuperators assess exhaust temperature, flow, fuel, glass type and required air preheat together. Connection dimensions, material and expansion compensation are essential for replacement. Do not compare single- and two-stage units solely by external dimensions. Published temperatures depend on the installation concept. Check the installation drawing against the existing component and include photographs of connections and the nameplate.
