Provide furnace type, serial number, wiring diagram and inductor identification. Describe alloy, bath capacity, melting duty and installed electrical power; capacity and melting rate are different quantities. For replacement parts record cooling method, connections, installation dimensions and material marking. Refractories must suit the alloy and furnace geometry. For pouring equipment document stopper, nozzle, camera and controller revision separately. Maximum cycle figures do not promise performance for a particular moulding or pouring process. Changes to furnace, cooling or control require assessment of the complete installation. Existing bills of materials and drawings are more informative than the series name alone.
