Record model suffix, serial number and year. Specify material, tensile strength, coating, strip width and thickness range together. Coil mass, inside and outside diameter and unwinding direction determine the handling arrangement. For knives and spacers provide outside diameter, bore, thickness, edge geometry and shaft dimensions. Identify straightening rolls by position and drawing. Required blank length, tolerance and surface protection influence specification. Document controls, drives and existing interfaces to a stacker or downstream machine. Do not combine catalogue limits from different variants into an assumed universal machine capacity.
