Record crane and hoist numbers, rated load, span, lifting height and documented duty classification. For wheels give diameter, flange, rail head and bearing arrangement. Drives require motor power, speed, gearbox ratio, brake and supply details. Identify rope or chain from the original documentation; diameter alone is insufficient. Document limit switches, load monitoring and controls with item markings and circuit positions. Add mounting dimensions, installed orientation, photographs and quantity. A crane example does not approve the loading of an existing runway. Changes to structural parts, lifting equipment or safety functions require assessment of the whole installation and cannot be decided from a spare-part name alone.
