Provide company, type, serial number and full nameplate data. For motors record power, voltage, frequency, speed, duty and efficiency class. Frame size, mounting arrangement, shaft, flange, protection and cooling method must suit the installation. An IEC designation is a standard reference, not a product number. For fans document airflow, static pressure, temperature, diameter and flow direction. For transformer cooling also specify mounting distance, acoustic requirements and existing control. Mains and inverter operation require different technical information. Equal electrical input does not establish equal airflow or mechanical fit. Include existing drawings and installation photographs with a replacement enquiry.
