Specify polymer and manufacturing method explicitly: PMMA or PC, and cast or extruded. State outside and inside diameters, wall thickness, length and permitted dimensional variation. Describe transparency, colour and surface requirements separately. For machined parts include drawings, holes, edges and planned bonded joints. Temperature, chemical exposure and mechanical loading must suit the intended application. Food-contact or special approval statements require documentation for the actual execution. A transparent tube is not automatically approved as pressure piping. Material substitution and altered machining can affect stress; document the existing semi-finished material and component function clearly.
