ACT-8 and FMC-3 demonstrate why platform size alone cannot identify equipment: hydraulic screw and rack-and-pinion drives require different parts and maintenance information. Load capacity and lifting speed relate to defined configurations. An enquiry needs clear identification of the mast, drive and platform arrangement.

State model, serial number, market execution and documentation revision. Record single- or twin-mast arrangement, platform length, mast sections and anchoring concept from the installation records. The load chart for the actual configuration governs selection; do not combine maximum ratings from different executions. For drive parts include the hydraulic diagram or gearbox and rack information. Document supply, control system, safety devices and connectors. Do not exchange lifting-system components on visual resemblance alone. Nameplate photographs and drawing positions assist identification. Work on load-bearing or safety-related assemblies requires the prescribed competent assessment and the appropriate equipment documentation.
