State machine model, serial number, control system and drawing revision. Record workpiece length, diameter, mass and workholding. For thread grinding include profile, pitch, number of starts and hand. Document wheel diameter, width, bore, bond and permitted speed. For spindles establish bearings, cooling, lubrication, motor and encoder data. Dressing tool and cycle belong to the installed process configuration. Check electrical and mechanical interfaces before deciding on a replacement. Series tables describe alternative machine dimensions; their maximum values are not automatically combined in one machine. Inspection and calibration records support assessment after intervention.
