For extractors distinguish basket or belt construction, screen execution, drive and inlet geometry. For pumps, seals and valves specify medium, temperature, pressure and material requirements separately. Use the existing plant documentation to define hazardous-area requirements and obtain qualified review. A general capacity range does not establish performance for a particular feedstock combination. Wear observations, modifications and shutdown constraints help scope the enquiry. Process changes or replacements in solvent-handling assemblies require an agreed engineering assessment of the overall installation.
