Include machine number, station identification and tool drawing. Record web width, thickness and layer structure, including adhesive and liner. Clearly distinguish required slit width, through-cut, kiss-cut and perforation. Document blade profile, holder mounting, supporting surface and depth adjustment separately. For winding stations specify roll and core diameters, roll mass and tension control. Copy complete motor, encoder and controller identification. A matching working width alone does not establish interchangeability of a cutting unit. Format changes require cutting geometry, web tracking and control to be assessed together. Existing settings assist identification but do not replace tool drawing data.
