Technical selection

Provide drawing number, revision and existing markings. For rigid pipes specify outside diameter, wall thickness, material, surface treatment and three-dimensional bend geometry. For hoses record bore, construction, length between defined reference points and angular orientation of the ends. Identify thread, sealing face and connection standard separately at both ends. Describe fluid, pressure peaks, temperature and movement; a visually similar fitting is insufficient for selection. Match every item in a complete kit to its bill-of-materials position. Agree cleanliness requirements and inspection documents before manufacture. Photographs support identification but do not replace a dimensioned drawing or unambiguous connection details.
