Send model, serial number and the complete letter or plus suffix from the nameplate. Record working width, material and incoming and target thickness. Identify a band knife by the length, width, thickness and bevel of the installed version. For feed rollers record diameter, surface, mounting and drive side. Grinding wheels require dimensions, bore, bond and permitted speed. Record extraction connections and filter construction separately. Changes to knife guides, guarding or feed require the relevant machine documentation. Similar working width does not establish the same knife path or interchangeability of rollers and bearings.
